In fact, if you’re not putting some of your resources into engaging people in the real world, you might be missing some vital opportunities for growth. You already know who your target demographic is. Where do they hang out? If you live in a big city, there will be sections of that section frequented by the people you’re trying to market to. If you have a product or service, set up a pop-up stand in that area of the city. You can give away free samples of your product. Or, if you provide a service, another giveaway that has your company branded on the side.
Host an Event
People like to have fun, so why not give it to them? It’s easy to host an event. Find a space, look at portable bar manufacturers, hire a DJ, buy some decorations, and voila: you have an event. These are especially effective because you’ll be getting the word out about your company, all in the name of fun! Once you have a date and space for your event, start inviting people connected to your company. And, those that you would like to network and connect with. Everyone will have a good time, then in the days after the event, you can follow up with your connections and hopefully get something going.
If you’re a small team, then guerilla marketing is a great to spread your company’s message in a cost effective way. It’s all about subtlety making your mark around town. For example, you might leave your business card in a well-visited part of town, or draw chalk slogans with your company name on the ground. Any opportunity you see to leave your company’s mark, you should take advantage of!

If you have access to your customer’s home address, then have a think about a direct mail campaign. These have fallen out of favor over the past ten years, and probably because of this, they’ve become effective again! Plus, you’ll already be writing to the people who have previously shown an interest in your company. It’s not worth just blindly sending out mail promotions to every address, but if you target the right people, they can bring in a lot of revenue.
When your marketing comes to offline marketing, the sky’s the limit. You can do most anything, so long as it’s not illegal and people will enjoy it! In many ways, you’re able to be more creative than you can be online. Whatever it is you do, make sure it’s in keeping with the overall theme of your business. Other than that, get thinking outside the box and see what you can come up with!
